Fishing Report 12/02/2010

Speckled Trout bite is still good at the Cape Lookout Rock Jetty, have not been able to get out there most of this week due to weather. But there was some there Monday and then again today. The Speckled Trout bite has been up and down,Shackleford Banks last weekend produced the most of the fish being keepers. Still loads of fish in the Haystacks and Radio Island but a lot of small fish. Talked to a customer yesterday that was over at Radio Island using Gulp and he was catching Trout ever cast.

Still all the Redfish you want around the Cape's Rock Jetty, Ruff Point and Shark Island. Last weekend there was a solid bite going on in all of these areas. Gulp Baits, Billy Halo Shrimp, Mirrolures and Live Mud Minnows have been the best baits to be using. Just had a guy come by today and told me that he just came from Radio Island Jetty fished 2pm to 4pm and caught Trout the whole time he was there. He was using White Berkley Gulp Baits.

One of our Charter Captains has been out Blue Fin Tuna Fishing this week. He was telling me the bite has been slow with just a few fish caught this week. But they scored today with a monster Blue Fin.  Dressed 364lbs was between 450 and 475lbs alive. Looks like he will be making some CASH off that one. Way to go Chris that’s a huge fish to catch on a 22ft center console. He was using the Jumbo Ballyhoo that he got from here at the shop. We have some nice looking JUMBOS IN STOCK NOW!!!
