Inshore:

The Cape Lookout Rock Jetty has to be the place of choice to catch good numbers of fish now. The inshore waters have dropped down around 50 degrees making the inshore action slow but the Cape Lookout Rock Jetty is producing great numbers and is just really getting good.

We have seen thousands of Speckled Trout at the jetty this fall but now that we are getting into winter the big fish are showing up. Last Friday afternoon we had a customer that had a great day there; between 2pm & 4pm he caught 20-inch fish as fast as he could catch them. On top of that he caught an 8.58lbs “GATOR” trout to go along with all ready a great afternoon of fishing.

The guys fishing out there at night from boats and wade fishing have been having good luck also. The hot baits have been Mirrolures
