Inshore:

 

The Speckled Trout bite still remains very good in the area. The bite slowed down a bit last weekend along the beach as we had pretty weather with sunny skies and light winds. The Cape Lookout Rock Jetty was on “FIRE” last weekend. I talked with customer after customer throughout the weekend that was just killing the trout at the Cape. This week has been the same with good numbers of fish being caught at the Rocks.
 
In the last few days since the winds have started back up the surf zone has turned back on. I talked with a few customers over the last two days and they reported catching trout good again along the beach.
 
Areas to fish on the inside: The Haystacks produced very good over last weekend and it has been good this week. The fish seem to be holding along the marsh points and in deeper holes thoughout the marsh. I know of a few anglers that caught over 50 trout over in that area last weekend. The trout were 15 to 20 inches
