Fishing Report 03/24/2011

Inshore: They had a great Redfish bite last week up at the Cape Lookout Rock Jetty. Most of the fish are running from 18 to 20 inches. But most anglers are getting some nice 25 to 27 inch fish in a trip. I heard from a few people that there were some Redfish schools working out in front of Atlantic Beach and around Fort Macon Rocks. I have heard of some good reports from the Neuse River area with some great Speckled Trout catches in the creeks off the river. Mirrolures and Berkley Gulps have been some good lures for the creeks system off the Neuse River. This is a great sign for the Speckled Trout fishery for this year after the winter we had; Live Mud Minnows
